Fiona Apple (real name Fiona McAfee Maggart) was born and raised in New York city. She was raised by a rich family who had a strong background in the entertainment business. Apple released her first album when she was only 18 years old. It is hard to describe her style of music. Is it pop? Is it Indie? Is it Alternative? Is it Jazz? You could answer yes to all of the above. Her most recent release is more popular with the college crowd than her earlier releases.
