Notes
There are two live full length albums released by AC/DC. Their first one If You Want Blood You've Got It, is the only live album with Bon Scott. You can find other Bon Scott live tracks in the box set Bonfire, but this is his only live album. Recorded in the U.S. on their Powerage tour, If You Want Blood is loaded with classic cuts from the band. The album reached number 13 on the pop charts.
Recommendations
If you want blood is not a bad live album. Unfortunately it has only ten tracks, but the tracks found here rock! If your not into live albums I would pass this up, but it is a nice addition to any AC/DC library.
If you plan on purchasing If You Want Blood You've Got It.
You must pick up the 2003 remastered version. All AC/DC albums have been remastered with new packaging, fabulous liner notes, and CD ROM extra footage features. AC/DC may have the greatest CD package on the market today. The liner notes tell a continuing story of the band. Each disc continues the story where the previous disc left off. I have had minor success in finding this album available in local record stores, in fact, I have only found it available for purchase online. Your best bet would be to order it from Cdnow.com; they always have it in stock and you shouldn't have to pay more than $11.99 for it.
If you don't plan on purchasing If You Want Blood You've Got It but want to hear some tracks from it
All of these tracks can be found in studio form on other AC/DC albums. There's not much of a difference in each individual song except for "The Jack". This version of "The Jack" is sexual as to the studio version is about card playing. If you have any interest you should check out Itunes or Napster to download any of these tracks. I also have my ideal compilation for the band on my AC/DC home page.
