Notes

Let There Be Rock, AC/DC's second release in the U.S. was much more appreciated by the media than their first release High Voltage.  Everyone knew what to expect; heavy guitar riffs, amps turned all the way up, and the screaming vocals of Bon Scott.  Let There Be Rock is crafted better than High Voltage and is heavier and faster.  This might be the hardest rocking album AC/DC ever recorded.  It ranked 154 on the pop charts.

Recommendations

I recommend Let There Be Rock to any AC/DC fan, and for anyone who wants to hear a hard rocker from start to finish.  There are only a handful of Bon Scott albums and this is one of the finest.  The title track & "Whole Lotta Rosie" are worth it alone.

If you plan on purchasing Let There Be Rock

You must pick up the 2003 remastered version.  All AC/DC albums have been remastered with new packaging, fabulous liner notes, and CD ROM extra footage features.  AC/DC may have the greatest CD package on the market today.  The liner notes tell a continuing story on the band.  Each disc continues the story where the previous disc left off. I have had minor success in finding this disc available in local record stores. Your best bet would be to order it from Cdnow.com; they always have it in stock and can be purchased at a discount from time to time.

If you don't plan on purchasing Let There Be Rock but want to hear some tracks from it

I highly recommend everyone to have "Let There Be Rock" & "Whole Lotta Rosie" in their collection. If interested you should check out Itunes or Napster to download those two tracks, or any others I recommend. I also have my ideal compilation for the band on my AC/DC home page.
