Notes
After the huge success of Highway to Hell & Back in Black it would be extremely difficult to pull off another all time classic. The band comes close with For Those About To Rock We Salute You. The album is not as loaded with hits as the previous two but is still a nice rocking album. This albums was the first AC/DC album to hit number 1 in the U.S.
Recommendations
For Those About To Rock We Salute You is one of Brian Johnson's best albums and is in the upper half of AC/DC's best albums. It is not loaded with big hits like other AC/DC albums, but it is still a classic, and a must have for your library.
If you plan on purchasing For Those About To Rock We Salute You
You must pick up the 2003 remastered version. All AC/DC albums have been remastered with new packaging, fabulous liner notes, and CD ROM extra footage features. AC/DC may have the greatest CD package on the market today. The liner notes tell a continuing story on the band. Each disc continues the story where the previous disc left off. You can find this album at your local Best Buy or any local record store. It is usually sold at a reasonable price, and with the use of Cdnow.com, you should never pay more than $11.99 for it.
If you don't plan on purchasing For Those About To Rock We Salute You but want to hear some tracks from it
If you feel like passing on For Those About To Rock We Salute You, there are a few good songs that you will be missing out on. The title track is a must. If your not interested in this album, then purchase Who Made Who, either way you must have the title track somewhere in your collection. You could also download the title track and others at Itunes or Napster. I also have my ideal compilation for the band on my AC/DC home page.
