I really miss Bon Scott.  No offense to Brian Johnson, but when I listen to these later AC/DC albums I realize how great Bon was.  The band is still rockin' on this album, but it is a disappointed album compared to their earlier releases.  The coolest thing to me about this album is that this is first album produced by the original producers, George Young and fellow Easybeat member Harry Vanda since 1978.  This would also be the last album to feature drummer Simon Wright. Blow up your video surprisingly peaked at number 12 on the Billboard charts.

Recommendations

It's not brutal, but it is one of the worse AC/DC albums recorded.  If you have most of the albums then you must own this to complete the collection, if not, I would just purchase a couple tracks.

You must pick up the 2003 remastered version.  All AC/DC albums have been remastered with new packaging, fabulous liner notes, and CD ROM extra footage features.  AC/DC may have the greatest CD package on the market today.  The liner notes tell a continuing story on the band.  Each disc continues the story where the previous disc left off.  You should be able to purchase this CD at any Best Buy, or local record store.  Check out Cdnow.com as well, they sometimes have discounted rates on AC/DC albums.

If you don't plan on purchasing Blow up your video but want to hear some tracks from it

I have listed my personal top five tracks from this album.  "Heatseeker" is by far the best track and should be in your library.  If interested you should check out Itunes or Napster to download a couple tracks that I recommend.  I also have my ideal compilation for the band on my AC/DC home page.
