Bryan Adams

Bryan Adams is a Canadian singer/songwriter who has been recognized as one of the greatest musicians to come from Canada. As a youngster, Adams lived in both Canada and Europe, and when he returned to Canada he was into his much too much to really care about anything else and dropped out of high school. At the age of 15 he was the lead vocalist for a Canadian band named Sweeny Todd and was featured on their second album as the lead singer. In 1980 he released his first album which featured many songs co-written by his songwriting partner Jim Vallance. He would release another album, but it wouldn't be until his third album, Cuts like a knife before he began to rise to fame. His follow up would be his best selling album ever featuring two of his biggest hits, "Summer of 69" and "Heaven". Once we hit the 90's his style of music turned much slower and more adult contemporary, which is a bit disappointing to me. He released the smash hit "(Everything I do) I do it for you" for the Robin Hood: Prince of thieves soundtrack which ended up being a huge hit helping him win several Grammy's. He would never reach the success he once had after this hit, but his popularity was steady with the older crowd. Along with his music Adams is also a photographer, having many of his pictures published.
