Notes

Stripped is the second release for pop singer Christina Aguilera.  It showed more of a raunchier side to her.  This was mainly due to her style of clothing (or lack there of) during this time, and the singles released by her label.  Most of these singles were on the raunchier side, where as the rest of album is laid back and similar to her debut.  The album contained the singles "Can't hold us down", "Fighter", "Beautiful", and "Dirrty".  The album peaked at number two on the Billboard top 200.

Recommendations

To me, this is not as good as her debut, and is her weakest album to date (2008).  It's obvious that she was going through some changes in her style at the time of it's release.  Though there are some decent tracks here, it is not loaded, but I guess you could say the same for her debut.  I'd say if you don't own her debut and don't plan on owning it, then you can pass this one up to.  I'm sure that someday there will be a greatest hits package that includes the tracks worth owning..

If you plan on purchasing Stripped

You can always find this album at Best Buy or any local record store.  There is also an import version that is not worth the money.  Sometimes you may be able to find it at a discounted price at Cdnow.com.

If you don't plan on purchasing Stripped but want to hear some tracks from it

As I mentioned earlier, I am almost positive that there will be a greatest hits package for Christina Aguilera in the future.  But for now if you're giving this a pass, you may want to purchase individual tracks.  I have my top 5 listed for some guidance, in which all these tracks can be purchased at Itunes or Napster. For more suggestions you can take a look at my ideal compilation at my Christina Aguilera Home Page.
