Alive 'N Kickin'

Alive 'N Kickin' was a 1970’s pop/rock band from Brooklyn, New York.  The band was a mix group with both male and female members, and was originated at a young age.  They signed to Tommy James’ record label, who also wrote their biggest and only hit “Tighter, tighter.”  If you listen closely you can hear that the chorus of “Tighter, tighter” is ripped off from the melody of Janis Joplin’s version of “Piece of my heart.”  After the success of “Tighter, tighter”, the band left James’ label and never had another hit record.  The band broke up, but rejoined shortly after playing at parties and weddings, which they still do today.

Alive 'N Kickin' – 1970

*This is the only release by the band*

*There will not be an ideal compilation for Alive 'N Kickin’, my ideal compilation would consist of the tracks on this album*
