The Animals

The Animals whose original lineup consisted of Eric Burdon, Hilton Valentine, Alan Price, John Steel and Bryan "Chas" Chandler originated in Newcastle England.  They wanted to make a name of themselves so they moved to London and recorded their first hit which was also a hit in the U.S. called House of the rising sun.  From there they exploded into the British Invasion.  The band would later change lineups but front man Eric Burdon always led the way.  Before their breakup The Animals released a few albums and several greatest hits collections.  I've looked through their albums and discovered that their original albums are pricy and hard to come by.  Through my research I have also discovered that everything that I would want to own by the animals can be found on a single disc called The Animals Retrospective.  Therefore I will only own this one album since everything I like by them can be found here.
