Arrested Development

Arrested Development is a rap group from the south that was led by rapper/producer Speech.  The big difference between arrested development and all other rap groups is that AD didn't rap about being gangster's, drugs, or anything like what you hear on 95% of rap albums.  They rapped about freedom, homeless people, and political issues.  Arrested Development were a little corny, but they weren't all that bad.  I don't care if you disagree with me or not, but Speech is one heck of a rapper.  His rhymes may be a little whack, but his combination of speed and style is quite remarkable.  I was trying to follow the lyrics along with him, and I just couldn't do it.  Not only does he rap well, he's also not that bad of a producer.  I think Mr. Wendal is one of hip-hop's all time greatest songs.  I'm serious.  Pop in Mr. Wendal into your CD player (or tape player if necessary) right now and try to tell me that that isn't one of Hip-Hop's finest tracks.  Arrested Development released a few albums and several greatest hits.  It is quite difficult to find more than half of their material since it is out of print.  But most of it is not worth owning anyway.  The three albums that I have in my collection are pretty much the only ones you need and can find available from their catalog.  I still have one question though, and if anyone can answer it please post a message on the message board or send me an e-mail.  Who is the old guy that is always hanging out with this group??? Is he THE Mr. Wendal?
