Notes

After their second album topped the U.K. charts there was a lot more pressure on Athlete to come out with another chart breaking album.  There response was a much more experimental and mellow approach.  Fans of the band were a bit disappointed by this release, but its not that bad.  Tracks such as "Hurricane" and "Tokyo" make this one a keeper.  It peaked at number 5 on the U.K. charts.

Recommendations

This is a laid back album, so if you're just wanting to sit back and watch a ball game, this would be good to listen to.  It's not the greatest, but there are a couple stand out tracks.

If you plan on purchasing Beyond the Neighbourhood

I've never seen this in stores, so you're must likely going to need to purchase it on-line.  It can be a bit pricey, on average I see it selling from $12.99-14.99.  You may want to check out Cdnow.com and see if its ever on sale.

If you don't plan on purchasing Beyond the Neighbourhood but want to hear some tracks from it

The two hits and stand out tracks are "Hurricane" and "Tokyo", which I believe everyone should check out.  If you're going to make a purchase at Itunes or Napster, I would stay away from the opening and closing tracks.  For more suggestions you can check out my ideal compilation at my Athlete Home Page.
