Notes
This is one of the strangest albums I've ever head, especially for it's time. Though very, strange this album is well-liked and has achieved much success. All tracks are originals except for the final track which is a strange cover of Petula Clark's Downtown. The track Rock Lobster can be played on the Nintendo Game cube game Donkey Konga. The album hit number 59 on the Billboard Charts.
Recommendations
You know what, after a few listens it became better and better, and I thought to myself, this album is pretty fun. I would recommend it for owning if you're really into weird alternative music, if not you may want to pass on it.
If you plan on purchasing The B-52's
I am only aware of one version of this album. I've never seen it available in stores, but it is always in stock at Cdnow.com at a reasonable price.
If you don't plan on purchasing The B-52's but want to hear some tracks from it
I may not have recommended owning the album for everyone, but I do recommend owning some tracks from here. Rock Lobster is a must, as well as Planet Claire, and 52 Girls. You can check these out at Itunes or Napster. You should listen to sound clips form other tracks as well. Who knows, you may discover that you want to own it after all.
