Bell Biv Devoe

Bell Biv Devoe consisted of half the members of the 1980's R&B group, New Edition.  Rickie Bell, also known as Slick, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie Devoe (B.B.D.) formed the group after the break up of New Edition.  Their first album, Poison was a huge success that included quite a few a hits.  After its release Biv would produce fellow East Coast groups such as the teen group Another Bad Creation and Boyz II Men.  The three groups would collaborate on a track that Biv helped write for Boyz II men, and Boyz II Mens first single, MotownPhilly.  When I think of these guys I think of a lot of things.  Poison, New Edition, Bobby Brown, Boyz II Men...  But the first thing that always comes to mind is their appearance in the hit television show Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.  The scene in which they are recording their music video at the Banks residence might be one of the top 5 clips from that show.  They would release another album three years after their debut, and another not so successful album in 2001.  B.B.D. have reunited will fellow New Edition members since then  to record another album, and also a New Edition tour.  As of 2008 it is also rumored that B.B.D. has joined up with New Edition once again to record another album.
