Beck

Beck is a successful, multi-talented musician from Los Angeles, CA, who has made his way from the underground scene to fame.  He was born with an artistic background with his father being a musician and his mother and grandfather being visual artists.  Beck dropped out of high school and moved to Europe to live with his Grandpa.  It was here when he found his interest for music and made his way into the punk rock scene.  He moved back to L.A. to further expand his music career making many demos and bootlegs which are difficult to get your hands on.  He made a name for himself with his breakthrough hit "Loser" which brought attention of not only Independent radio stations, but to pop stations as well.  After his debut album was released, his career took off with his biggest hit record Odelay.  Beck would continue to be a big influence on both up and coming Indie artists and mainstream artists.  He has an interesting style of music that contains several styles of music.  He also is the primary musician on all of his records.  His use of lyrics might be the most random I have ever heard from an artist.  He is also affiliated with the Church of Scientology.
