Notes

Black Sabbath is what could be considered the first Heavy Metal album of all time.  It is an amazing debut that features Ozzy Osbourne on vocals backed by dark and heavy guitar riffs.  The album was released on Friday the 13th and Rolling Stone Magazine ranked it number 238 of the greatest 500 albums of all time.

Recommendations

A must own.  Black Sabbath, The Wizard, N.I.B., heck the whole album just rocks from start to finish.  At times it may feel a little repetitive, but Tony Iommi just absolutely rips on this album.

If you plan on purchasing Black Sabbath

There is only one copy of this in the U.S. and it is the version I own.  You can also purchase a remastered version of this album in the Black Sabbath box set.  It's up to you whichever route you go.  I am a fan of box sets, but I am also a fan of original albums.  It's hard for me to make these decisions, but whichever route you go, you're getting a great album. You can find this album available at Best Buy or your local record store.  If you are not able to find it in stores, it is always in stock at Cdnow.com

If you don't plan on purchasing Black Sabbath but want to hear some tracks from it

Black Sabbath, N.I.B., and The Wizard are all famous tracks.  This is a classic rocker in which I believe all these tracks should be in your library.  I would say that you can check out these tunes at Itunes or Napster, however Ozzy Osbourne Black Sabbath is not available for download at this time. I also have my ideal compilation for more suggestions at my Black Sabbath Home Page.
