Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath may be considered the first "Heavy Metal" band of all-time. They originated out of Birmingham England and were led by lead singer Ozzy Osbourne. The band has gone through several line-up changes with only lead guitarist, Tony Iommi being the only band member to stay through every change. The band has gone through eight different lead singers, Ozzy Osbourne being the most successful. There were other great lead singers that joined Black Sabbath, even Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan. However it was with Ozzy in which they were at their best and most successful. Black Sabbath has done several reunion tours and as of 2007 the band's formation is the original 1969 line-up. The band began to go downhill after Ozzy left in 1979. I will own all Ozzy albums in my library and will skim through other albums to decide if I want them in the library.
