Notes

Not only was Paranoid the second album released by Black Sabbath, it was also their second album released that same year, and one of their most popular.  It is said to be one of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time.  It includes some of their biggest hits such as the Anti-war War Pigs, Iron man, and the title track.  The album was picked number 130 according to Rolling Stones 500 greatest albums of all time. It peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Pop charts.

Recommendations

Just like their debut album, this is a must own.  Although I may not say that it is the greatest heavy metal album of all time, it truly is a classic.

If you plan on purchasing Paranoid

There is only one copy of this in the U.S. and it is the version I own.  You can also purchase a remastered version of this album in the Black Sabbath box set.  It's up to you whichever route you go.  I am a fan of box sets, but I am also a fan of original albums.  It's hard for me to make these decisions, but whichever route you go, you're getting a great album. You can find this album available at Best Buy or your local record store.  If you are not able to find it in stores, it is always in stock at Cdnow.com

If you don't plan on purchasing Paranoid but want to hear some tracks from it

What are you paranoid or something? Why wouldn't you want to own this?  At this time you can not purchase these tracks at Itunes or Napster because Ozzy Osbourne Black Sabbath is not available.  So you must go out and pick this up.  Seriously, all the way from War Pigs to my favorite track and album finisher, Fairies wear boots, you have one of the best hard rock/heavy metal albums of all time. I have my ideal compilation for suggestions at my Black Sabbath Home Page.
