Notes

The debut for Bon Jovi was not as big of a seller as their later albums would be.  It is mainly compiled of deep tracks and their first hit, Runaway.  The only cover song to be found on a Bon Jovi studio album can be found here, which was the minor hit, She don't know me.  Though not as popular as later Bon Jovi albums, you sure can hear the near future of their success from the speakers.

Recommendations

I wouldn't say that you have to own this.  There are defiantly other Bon Jovi albums better than this, and some that may be worse.  If you are into hair band music of the 80's, then you should pick this up.

If you plan on purchasing Bon Jovi

The album has been remastered. While looking around online, I discovered this is pretty much the only version of this album that you will be able to purchase, and it's cheap.  Order it online at Cdnow.com and you shouldn't have to pay more than 10 bucks.

If you don't plan on purchasing Bon Jovi but want to hear some tracks from it

The opening track Runaway was a hit, and the song the put Bon Jovi on the map.  They won a radio contest with this track, which landed them a record deal, so you must own that in your library.  There are some other solid tracks from here in which you can purchase at Itunes or Napster.  You should give my top 5 a preview and see if you like it.  Also, for more suggestions, you can view my ideal compilation for the band at my Bon Jovi Home Page.
