Bon Jovi

Bon Jovi is a hard rock band that was formed out of New Jersey in the 1980's.  The band began as a quintet, and in 1994 their bassist left, making it a foursome.  As of 2008 the current line-up consists of those four men, a rare thing to see now a days.  The band title is simple, it is the Surname of lead singer Jon Bon Jovi.  The band recorded a couple solid albums in the early 80's and the came a huge hit with their third album, Slippery when wet Bon Jovi then became one of the biggest rock acts in the 80's.  In the 90's they split for a while, some of them even doing some side projects.  They would get back together without their original bassist in the mid 90's and record and tour some more.  Their style surely has changed over the years.  They have gone from hard rock, to pop, to adult contemporary, and now even a bit of country.  In 2007 the band became the first American group to perform for the Queen Of England.  They have released ten studio albums, some greatest hits and a box set.  Their box set includes some unreleased material, which is nice.  Maybe later down the road I will show interest in that, but right now I feel like passing it up.
