Coldplay

Coldplay is an alternative rock group formed out of England.  The group began back when founding members Chris Martin and Johnny Buckland met at college orientation.  The other two members would shortly join after.  The band began to book small gigs in town and recorded a couple EP's.  There were only few copies of these EP's released and are very rare.  At one early point in their career Martin kicked out drummer Will Champion, and then begged for him to join the group again.  With Champion re-joining the group, they agreed that all profits would distributed equally and that any member who took drugs would be kicked out.  The band's debut was an instant hit in the U.K. and eventually became a hit in the States.  That singe "Yellow" was a worldwide hit that gained the band success over the world.  With their next two albums selling millions of copies worldwide, Coldplay has become one of the most popular acts of the new millennium.  They have sold out concerts all over the world and have recorded and performed for many charitable events.  The band plans on releasing their fourth studio album in the Summer of 2008.
