Cream is a band that originated out of the U.K. consisting of three talented musicians. The founder of Cream was drummer Ginger Baker.  Ginger was in a band named Graham Bond Organisation when he discovered Yardbird guitarist Eric Clapton. Baker was impressed with Clapton and asked him if he was interested in joining a new band he (Baker) was forming.  Clapton said he was interested but only if bass guitarist Jack Bruce could join the band.  Baker was hesitant about letting Bruce join the band because they use to be band members in Graham Bond Organisation.  They did not get along at all during the time they were band mates but Baker let him join anyway.  This powerhouse trio had a short span together, only recording a handful of albums in four years.  Baker & Bruce began to bump heads again and all three wanted to go their separate ways.  Cream was known for some big hits such as White Room, and Sunshine for your love, but what fans really enjoyed about Cream was their live set.  They would do extended cuts in their live shows that would carry on to almost twenty minutes in length.  Eric Clapton would become a big hit all over the U.S. and U.K. with other bands and as a solo artists.  Baker & Bruce would play in other bands but never achieved the popularity Clapton would later on.  The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1993, and had a mini reunion tour in 2005.  There is a live album of a concert from that tour.  Those hoping for another Cream tour, don't count on it.  Ginger Baker still can not stand Jack Bruce to this day.
