Notes

Cream's debut is not as popular as their later releases but is still a fine album.  The first half of the album is my favorite and includes all original songs written by Jack Bruce.  The second half has more of a blues feel and consists of all covers other than the final track "Toad".  This is a heavy blues and psychedelic record which I believe had a huge influence on late 60's bands such as Pink Floyd.

Recommendations

You can find most of these tracks on cream greatest hits and live albums.  I personally prefer to have original albums, but in this case you might be better off with their greatest hits album where five of it's  tracks can be found.

If you plan on purchasing Fresh Cream

I've never seen this album for sale in stores.  You must get the re-mastered version which is available at Cdnow.com at an affordable price.

If you don't plan on purchasing Fresh Cream but want to hear some tracks from it

"I feel free" was the only big hit from this album.  As I stated earlier you can find a handful of tracks here that you can get off their greatest hits album.  A couple of those tracks that can't be found off that album are "Sleepy time time", and "Toad".  If interested you should check out Itunes or Napster to download any tracks that I recommend.  Fore more suggestions check out my ideal compilation for the band at my Cream Home Page
