Notes

Deja vu was the second release for CSN, this time with the addition of Neil Young and studio musician Greg Reeves on bass.  You would think it would be hard to top their debut album, but they certainly give it a run here with a fabulous album.  It includes some of their biggest hits, including  the two Graham Nash compositions Teach Your Children, and Our House.  They defiantly give credit to their rhythm section here too.  Their names may not be included in the band title, but their names appear below the foursomes' on the cover and are also pictured with the band.  According to Rolling Stone, this album is the 147th best album of all time.  Deja vu peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Pop charts.

Recommendations

After listening to their debut you may wonder how could they top that?  Well with the addition of Neil Young they certainly give it a shot.  It's a toss up to say which is better, it may just depend on the mood you're in, or which one you listened to recently.  Either way Deja vu is a must own for you library.

If you plan on purchasing Deja vu

The best version to own is the 1994 remastered version.  Not only is it the best version, it's the only one you're going to find.  You should not have a problem finding this in your local record stores, but if you do, you can always purchase it at Cdnow.com.

If you don't plan on purchasing Deja vu but want to hear some tracks from it

You must be crazy, I told you that is a must own.  You know what, I'm not even going to list individual tracks that you should purchase at Itunes or Napster, because that would be all of them.  To give you a better idea you can check out my top 5.    If you need more suggestions, I have my ideal compilation for the band at my Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young Home Page..
