Notes

This is the debut solo album for Fergie.  Though it is a solo project is does sound quite similar to the Black Eyed Peas, who's producer Will.i.am, produces most of the tracks.  The album contains 5 singles, which were widely spread over a period of close to two years, a smart way to increase record sales.  The album originally reached number three on the Billboard Pop Charts, but with the release of more singles it peaked at number 2.

Recommendations

A must own for any Black Eyed Peas fan, but also for any fan of pop music.  You couldn't have listened to a top 40 radio station between 2006 and 2008 and not have heard at least three tracks from this album.

If you plan on purchasing The Dutchess

This album has been released in several countries with some additional bonus tracks.  There versions are hard to come by due to the fact that they are imports.  Your best bet would be to own the original 2006 release.  There was an explicit and a clean version which is nice to have that option.  You can find the explicit version at just about any record store.  You can also purchase both versions at Cdnow.com.

If you don't plan on purchasing The Dutchess but want to hear some tracks from it

As I stated earlier there were a lot of big hit singles from this album.  I would recommend checking out my top 5 to see if you are interested.  The first single from this album, London Bridge, is not in my top 5, so you may want to check that out as well. You can listen to a preview or purchase these at Itunes or Napster.
