50 Cent

Curtis Jackson, who goes by the stage name of 50 Cent, is an American rapper from New York. His life was rough before he reached his fame.  He was raised by his mother, who was murdered when he was eight.  By the age of twelve he was a drug dealer and already writing rhymes about life on the street.  He started to get a name for himself on the street for his rhyming and made quite a few demos.  One night outside his Grandparents house he was shot 9 times, (Which he loves to brag about in his records) he was lucky to be alive, but this caused his label to drop him, and also not to have the right to record in a studio in U.S.  After his recovery he went to Canada to record some more tracks that got Eminem and Dr. Dre's interestThey flew him out to California and singed him.  His official debut was an instant hit and made him one of the most popular rappers at the time.  From this success 50 Cent started his own rap crew, label, and clothing line.  He also began to star in movies, including one that is based on events in his life.  50 Cent has also been in several feuds with other rappers, most notably Ja Rule and former G-unit member The Game.  His first album was never officially released, which was titled Power of the dollar.  He has released three official albums, and is working on a fourth.
