Notes
This is where it all started for Journey. Unless if you are a die-hard fan you probably didn’t even know this album existed. Believe it or not there was a time before Steve Perry, and during that time this band could really rock. Journey, and their follow up, Look into the future are by far their two heaviest albums, and two of their better albums. This album peaked at 138 on the Billboard charts.
Recommendations
If you’re looking for something decent and original, then this is for you. This album sounds nothing like the Journey that most people are familiar with. It’s a mix of progressive rock with a hint of jazz. This is the type of album that if mentioned at a party, will make you look like a musical genious.
If you plan on purchasing Journey
There is one version to get, and good luck finding it in stores. I saw this one in stores once in my life, at was at a local grocery store! You will most likely have to purchase it on-line, which isn't a big deal, Cdnow.com always has it in stock.
If you don't plan on purchasing Journey but want to hear some tracks from it
You are most likely not going to recognize any track from here. The most popular track from this album is the opener "Of a lifetime". You should give that a preview before purchasing, and if you like it, you may want to check out other tunes such as "In my lonely feeling" or the instrumental "Kohoutek". All these tracks can be purchased at either Itunes or Napster. For more suggestions you can view my ideal compilation at my Journey Home Page.
