The Killers

The Killers are an American Indie/Pop band from Las Vegas.  The foursome began their career in 2002 and released their big selling debut album in 2004.  The band was quite popular in the Indie rock scene, but then with their track "Mr. Brightside" being featured in the hit show The O.C., and being played on pop music stations, the band became quite popular.  They have a unique sound.  They use a lot of synthesizers and almost sound like a British Pop band, which may have something to do with their success in the U.K.  As of 2008 the band is finishing up their third album with all new material.
