Koji Kondo

Koji Kondo is a Japanese music composer, most notably arranging video game soundtracks for Nintendo. Koji has always been a fan of music, writing songs at an early age. He then went to pursue his dream by becoming classically trained. While looking for work he heard that a small local company named Nintendo was interested in finding musicians to compose music for their video games. Koji never considered himself a video game composer, but he took the job and has written some of the most memorable tunes in Nintendo’s history. He still works for Nintendo, primarily working on games with Shigeru Miyamoto. Koji Kondo has composed the soundtracks for the two biggest series’ by Nintendo, Super Mario Brothers and The Legend of Zelda. He also worked on the soundtracks for Star Fox and Pilotwings. Koji Kondo’s most recent work with Nintendo was Super Mario Galaxy.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time – 1998
*Koji Kondo has composed several soundtracks for Nintendo. Many of these have either not been formatted to CD or are extremely rare and OOP. In the future I will try to obtain additional soundtracks pending the availability and costs.*
*At this time there is not an ideal compilation, my ideal compilation would consist of this soundtrack.*
