The Marshall Tucker Band

The Marshall Tucker Band is a Southern rock band formed out of South Carolina.  They are a mix of Southern rock and country Western.  The band was led by brothers Toy and Tommy Caldwell.  The story on how the band got their name is interesting.  The band rented a warehouse to rehearse, still without a name they discussed what they should call themselves.  One of them members looked down at the keychain to the warehouse and it said Marshall Tucker, and they decided to go with it.  It turned out that Marshall Tucker was local blind man who rented the warehouse before them.  Tragedy struck the band when Tommy Caldwell died in a auto accident in 1980, his brother and also founding member Toy, would die several years later.  The band released quite a few albums, the ones released after 1980 are mainly all greatest hits and hard to come by material.  I plan on owning all albums prior to 1980 and passing on everything else since the material is weak and OOP.
