Notes

This is the debut album for Matchbox Twenty.  It is the bands most successful album selling over 12 million copies.  The album also strung out 5 singles with the most popular being "3 A.M." and "Push"  The album cover is a picture of a man who was walking down the street and was asked if he would pose for a picture.  Almost ten years after the album released this man sued the band for unauthorized use of the picture.  The album peaked at number 5 on the Billboard charts.

Recommendations

This is a good album to own.  Even though some of the themes are a little edgy it is a good pop album that should be in your collection.  It may actually be in your collection already since it has sold so many copies.

If you plan on purchasing Yourself or someone like you

If you can't afford the highly overpriced rare import that features a live disc, then you're like most of us and just want to own the original release.  You should be able to find this in your local record store without a problem.  If you plan on making a Cdnow.com order sometime soon you can go ahead and add this to your shopping basket.

If you don't plan on purchasing Yourself or someone like you but want to hear some tracks from it

There are several hits from this album which can all be found on their greatest hits album.  So if you're just into the hits, then purchase their greatest hits.  If you're looking to expand your knowledge then you should preview tracks like "Hang" or "Girl like that".  You can preview or purchase any of these tracks at Itunes or Napster.  For more suggestions you can check out my ideal compilation at my Matchbox Twenty Home Page.
