Notes

This is the debut album for singer/songwriter Ne-Yo.  Prior to this most people were probably not familiar with Ne-Yo, but familiar with some of his songs.  He had been a writer for several top selling artists in his genre, and then in 2006 he released his debut album.  It's not a bad album, containing the hits "So sick", "When you're mad", and "Sexy love".  The album hit number one on the Billboard charts.

Recommendations

The hits on this album are good, but the rest of the album falls short.  If you're into young hip R&B singers like Chris Brown, then you will defiantly want to check this one out.

If you plan on purchasing In my own words

There are some really expensive (40 dollars) imports of this album.  I would just stick with the original release which you can find in stores.  I actually got my version at a garage sale for a buck!  If you can't find it in stores, visit Cdnow.com, they will have it in stock.

If you don't plan on purchasing In my words but want to hear some tracks from it

I recommend the three hit singles that I mentioned earlier.  If you are wanting to expand on that a bit you may want to check out "I ain't gotta tell you".  You can purchase any of these tracks at either Itunes or Napster.  For more Ne-Yo suggestions, you can check out my ideal compilation at my Ne-Yo Home Page.
