Notes
Incesticide is a special Nirvana album. After the release of their second album Nevermind, there was a huge demand for Nirvana. So while recording their third studio album they released a compilation album of previous single and rarities. A lot of these tracks have poor quality, but it is a nice little album. The cover is a painting by none other than front man Kurt Cobain. The album peaked at number 39 on the Billboard charts.
Recommendations
Overall I'd say if your slightly into Nirvana or the grunge scene you will want to check this out. If not, then you may want to stay away since this really isn't loaded with top 40 hits.
If you plan on purchasing Incesticide
Believe it or not there are a few imports of this album. I would stay away from those since there really isn't anything special about them. You can at times find this at a local record store, but your best bet would be to purchase it at Cdnow.com for a low price.
If you don't plan on purchasing Incesticide but want to hear some tracks from it
The more popular tracks from here are "Sliver", "Dive" and "Been a son". You can own "Sliver", "Been a son" and "Aneurysm" from their live album (which I think these tracks sound better on) or from a couple greatest hits albums. But if you feel like previewing or purchasing other not so well-known tracks such as "Turnaround" or "Big long now" you can do this at Itunes or Napster. For more suggestions you can also check out my ideal compilation at my Nirvana Home Page.
