Notes
Not a bad follow up to his debut. It was recorded about a year before it was released and has a rawer edge then its predecessor. The album is primarily produced by Eminem and includes several featured artists. There were a few singles released on this album, the most popular being the track featuring and produced by Akon, titled "Snitch". The album peaked at number 8 on the Billboard charts.
Recommendations
If you enjoyed his first album, then this is a must own for you. It's a solid hip-hop album without any skits featuring good artists, good production and a nice flow from Obie. This would be a good addition to any hip-hop or pop collection.
If you plan on purchasing Second round's on me
There is the original 2006 release and a clean/edited version as well. As I always say, go for the explicit "true" version of the album. But if you plan on playing this around small children or offensive people, you may want the clean version. If you have extra cash and want the best there is to offer, there is also some imports that include some bonus tracks as well. These can be purchased at Cdnow.com.
If you don't plan on purchasing Second round's on me but want to hear some tracks from it
This is a good hip-hop album and should be in your library. If you're thinking about passing it up and going with individual tracks, a good place to start would be my top 5. All of these tracks are excellent. If you like them after you preview or purchase them at Itunes or Napster, you should consider maybe checking out more tracks.
