Notes

This is the studio debut for Primus.  The album starts off the same way as their debut album Suck on this does, with a sample of the Rush song YYZ.  One year for Christmas I asked my brother for a Primus CD, I wasn't familiar with the band at all, I just knew that I wanted a CD by them.  So my brother went to what use to be Warehouse records and picked this album due to the crazy cover.  It took maybe two listens to it, but it became one of my favorite albums, same goes for my brother.

Recommendations

You have got to own this one.  At first you may think I'm a lunatic and just think this is plain weird.  Well it is weird, but it is awesome, and must be in your collection.

If you plan on purchasing Frizzle fry

This album was released in 1990 and I received it probably in 1997 or 98.  Before I began working on this site I shared with others that I wish there was a remastered version of this because the sound quality could be better.  I have now discovered that the version my brother bought me that Christmas is Out Of Print, and there is a remastered version as of 2002.  I recommend picking up the 2002 version, since it's remastered and is the only version you will find. Maybe if Christmas doesn't come late this year you will get a copy for Christmas like I did!  Or you can purchase this album at Cdnow.com.

If you don't plan on purchasing Frizzle Fry but want to hear some tracks from it

You're crazy if you don't want this one.  But if you are crazy I recommend checking out my top 5 tracks at either Itunes or Napster.  I know at Itunes you can download the remastered versions and the new bonus tracks.  If you are interested in more suggestions, check out my ideal compilation from Primus at my Primus Home Page.
